Experience at ChinChin Milk Tea and Snail Restaurant: Familiar Flavors in the Heart of Tan Phu, Dong Nai

Last weekend, I had the chance to stroll around and try a milk tea shop combined with famous snail dishes in Tan Phu, Dong Nai called ChinChin. Initially, I just intended to drink some milk tea to cool down, but unexpectedly, I got to enjoy a delicious snail combo that captivated me. I had heard my friends mention this place for a long time, but it wasn’t until now that I had the opportunity to experience it. Indeed, ChinChin did not disappoint me with its delicious food, pleasant atmosphere, and very reasonable prices for students and office workers in the area.

Introduction to ChinChin Milk Tea and Snail Restaurant

The restaurant is located right in Ngoc Lam market, specifically at 10 Ngoc Lam Market, Phu Xuan, Tan Phu, Dong Nai, making it easy to find. The space is quite airy, open-style with seating both indoors and outdoors. The design is simple, not elaborate but clean, with a youthful style that suits young people who love milk tea and snacks.

What makes ChinChin special is the combination of milk tea and various snail dishes - it may sound strange but it works very well. If you are a milk tea enthusiast or love rich snail dishes, this is definitely a place to try in Tan Phu, Dong Nai.

Detailed Experience at ChinChin

# Space and Service

I visited the restaurant in the late afternoon, so it was quite crowded, but there were still plenty of empty seats to sit comfortably. The soft yellow lights made the space feel cozy. The simple plastic tables and chairs were clean and sturdy, and I particularly enjoyed sitting outside because of the cool breeze, making it refreshing to eat while watching the streets.

The staff here are very friendly and enthusiastic. Even though the restaurant was busy, they served quickly, ensuring that customers didn’t have to wait long. I ordered 2 servings of milk tea and 1 serving of stir-fried snails with tamarind, and the staff provided detailed advice on which dishes were delicious and which to try first. Their service attitude made me feel comfortable, without any rush or annoyance despite my many questions.

# Food and Drinks

  • **Milk Tea**: I ordered black sugar pearl milk tea and chocolate milk tea. The milk tea here is not overly sweet, with a moderate tea flavor that is very rich. The pearls are chewy and soft, unlike those at other places I have tried that were hard or dry. Additionally, the restaurant offers a variety of other toppings like jelly and pudding.
  • **Stir-fried Snails with Tamarind**: This is my favorite dish. The sweet and sour flavor is just right, typical of the South, with fresh snails, firm meat, and no fishy smell. Especially, the thick and rich tamarind sauce made me want to eat it continuously without getting bored.
  • The restaurant also has many other snail dishes like coconut snails, scented snails, and snail stir-fried with coconut that I have heard are also very delicious; I will definitely come back to try them next time.

While I was enjoying my meal, a group of young friends came to the restaurant, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere. Seeing regular customers creates a familiar feeling; the restaurant is not too noisy or cramped, making it very suitable for gathering with friends.

Pros and Cons of the Restaurant

  • **Pros:**
  • Delicious food, appealing to many tastes, especially the snail and milk tea dishes are well-prepared.
  • Affordable prices, suitable for students and office workers.
  • Spacious environment, with both indoor and outdoor seating, clean.
  • Friendly staff, quick and enthusiastic service.
  • **Cons:**
  • The restaurant is a bit small; if you go with a large group during peak hours, it might feel a bit cramped.
  • Some snail dishes may run out quickly when there are many customers, so it’s best to order early.
  • Opening hours are not clearly updated online, so it’s advisable to call ahead to avoid inconvenience.
