Review of Vietnamese Pho Restaurant - A Familiar Place for Pho Lovers in the Heart of Saigon
Introduction
I have always been a “fan” of traditional pho, especially beef pho. Recently, while wandering around District 3, I happened to see the Vietnamese Pho restaurant at 66 Tran Quoc Toan, so I decided to stop by. The main reason was that I wanted to find a pho restaurant that was both delicious and preserved the traditional flavors, as well as having a spacious atmosphere to fully enjoy my favorite dish. And my experience here truly satisfied me.
General Introduction
Vietnamese Pho is located right on Tran Quoc Toan street - one of the bustling and convenient streets in District 3. The restaurant is easy to find, situated on a main road, making it very accessible, with a fairly spacious motorbike parking area right in front of the restaurant.
The restaurant’s space is not too large, but it is decorated in a simple style, close to home, with soft white and light blue tones, creating a pleasant and comfortable feeling, without being too cluttered or flashy. The restaurant is suitable for everyone, from working people, students to small families looking for a quick and delicious breakfast or lunch.
Detailed Experience
*Space and Rooms*
I arrived around 9 AM, and at that time the restaurant was quite empty, so the atmosphere was very quiet and pleasant. The wooden tables and chairs are simple and clean, and there is air conditioning, so even though it was hot outside in Saigon, sitting inside the restaurant still felt cool. I particularly liked the large mirror in one corner of the restaurant, which made the space feel much larger.
*Food*
I ordered a bowl of rare and brisket beef pho and a glass of iced tea. The pho was served quite quickly, with a clear broth that had a gentle aroma of simmered bones, not too concentrated but still retaining a very pleasant natural sweetness. The rare beef was tender, just cooked, while the brisket had the right amount of chewiness, not dry at all. The pho noodles were soft and just chewy enough, very much to my liking. The fresh herbs served alongside were delicious, with a few slices of fresh chili to add if you like it spicy. A plus point is that the restaurant provided a generous amount of green onions and thinly sliced onions, making the dish very flavorful.
*Service and Staff Attitude*
The staff here are very quick and friendly. I asked for more information about the dishes, and the staff happily provided detailed advice, without being awkward or unpleasant. When I needed more drinks, they quickly brought them out without making me wait long. I was extremely satisfied with the service.
*A Small Experience*
Once while eating, I accidentally dropped my chopsticks on the floor, and the staff immediately came over to ask if I needed new chopsticks, then quickly brought out a clean pair. I felt that this attentiveness made my meal much more comfortable, even though it was a small matter, it was enough to show that the restaurant cares about its customers.
